How Many Hours Of Sleep Do We Really Need?

Why Hours of Sleep is so important?

Sleep is a very big topic to everyone because sleep is part of our life. It effects our physical and mental health directly. So if you dont take advantage of it, you could get worn out or worst get depressed or having an insomnia.  I had been hearing a lot of hours of sleep recommendations whether from the Internets, friends and from my family.

Unfortunately, most of them give me a different number hours of sleep. I was confused and I was thinking, how many hours of sleep do i really need actually. My friends would convinced me that he need at least 8 hours of sleep. If his not having his 8 hours, he said he was going to be tired in classes. But, then my hardworking friends who had been studying  until late night said he doesn’t really need like 8 hours of sleep. 7 or 6 would be enough.

To conclude from my experienced, I think that hours of sleep are depending on that type of person. Not depends on what the expert were saying. Read on my friends.

 

Hours of Sleep is Up To You.

Yes, which means you get to choose how many hours you want to sleep everyday and stick to it. For example, I pick 5 hours per day because I usually sleep before 11pm and woke up at 4am which means I only sleep at most 5 hours at night. You can say that that is not enough sleeping hours but I already practice this hours of sleep for about 3 months now. And i’m still okay with it. I don’t feel tired at all. In fact, now I can even write more  when I get up early.

Meaning that, our sleeping hours are significantly impacted by how we told ourselves on how we were going to feel when we woke up. The trick is simple, you have to define how many hours of sleep do you need and practice it everyday. Overtime, you will body will get used to it no matter how hours of sleep you pick.

For example, I would said to myself that I would only need five hours of sleeps. So every time, I woke up, I would feel like I already have enough sleeping hours for today. I encourage you to do it too.

Yes, hours of sleep you take would of course effecting your life and below are the commons benefits you will get when you have enough hours of sleep:

  • Improve your ability to gain new insight and solve problems.
  • Promotes skin health and youth appearance.
  • Helps prevents cancer.
  • And helps to increase your athletic performance.

 

The Terrible Effects of Not Getting Enough Sleeps.

If you are tired, learn to rest not to quit
  • Heightened your blood pressure.
  • It is a symptoms of depression or insomnia which is bad.
  • It’s weakened your immune system because your body is tired.
  • It can lead to stress which can lead to unproductive works.
  • Distorted your creativity especially when you are working.
  • Disrupted your sex life.
  • It can make you always in a moody mode.

 

Power Nap for My lack Hour of Sleeps.

I have done all the step in The Miracle Morning, to wake up super early but I still feel sleepy every time I try it. Why is this happening? Then, my answer would be power nap it is. Yes, I am a big believer of power nap. Why? because it helps me to stay productive and science suggest that it can increase your creativity.

Plus, I usually take my power nap at around 12 PM to 1.30 PM . And since I work (write) from home, I dont have any trouble power napping. But I you are working on 9-5 hours basis, then I guess you can power nap for about 10-2o minutes during your lunch hour but make sure you took your lunch first.

But how many hours do we really need for power nap? Actually, it is also up to you, it can be either 10-20 minutes, 60 minutes or even 90 minutes. For me, I usually took 60 minutes or 90 minutes and that is why I only need 5 hours of sleep at night. I love power nap. In fact, power nap is a great way to recharge yourself for all day energy and I encourage you to do it today. Yes, do it today. I meant it.
